Kayla has spent much of the past year competing at much higher age brackets and thus her ranking in the G12s didn’t reflect her true level of play. Kayla’s recent win at the G12s Sectional and L2 catapulted her to #2 seeding at the biggest national event in over a year. Kayla stormed through the draw without dropping a set and would take the final match in just over and hour, defeating the #1 seed.
