Tennis Community mourns the passing of Kaitlyn Mendoza

Anyone who knew Kaitlyn, knew how passionate she was about tennis and the effort she put in. Kaitlyn was a competitive tennis player, most notably capturing the NY Catholic School Tennis Championship as a Freshman and Sophomore. Her tennis accolades didn’t stop there as she had amassed various tournament wins over the years as well as ranked highly in the section. Kaitlyn was coached by Richard Bowie for several years and both he and the tennis community were devastated by the untimely passing, Kaitlyn battled cancer but unfortunately this past August she succumbed to its aggressive spread. The Pathway Tennis Foundation is committed to remembering and preserving her legacy as a model tennis player and human being.
